I will look at the weather forecast before heading to work in Western Kansas but this weekend I didn’t.  If I had I might have cancelled my trip.  This is from the Storm Prediction Center of NOAA

Turns out that after I left Bennett Colorado they had an EF2 tornado that did do some amount of damage to homes in the area.

Things were windy and lots of blowing dirt as I headed to Colby , Kansas my destination.  Just about 20 miles further east from Colby was another significant tornado touchdown.  Lots of destruction but no deaths.
