Kentmere 200 in Caffenol

Kentmere just released a new emulsion - an ISO 200 film.  Kentmere is a Harman product and the Kentmere stock has been thought of as a budget friendly emulsion when compared to Ilford stocks.  Someone thought this meant a lower silver content.  They currently have an ISO 100 and a 400 so I’m not sure why there was a pressing need for a 200.  But nonetheless we have it.  I broke my usual rules about trying new film and new developer at the same time.  Caffenol which is basically Vitamin C , Instant coffee and washing soda is not new to me- haven’t done it in a while.

One of the nice things about Caffenol is that you don’t have to be a slave to temperature though I run. it at 68 degF.  For most conventional B & W film it’s 10 min. so you don’t have to think about that.

The negatives were easy to scan and required minimal post processing.
