The trip to Chama was interesting - the photos above are from there. The first pics are from our stay in a cow pasture near Suguache Colorado - the ranch is part of Harvest Host where business will offer up their unused land for campers willing to dry camp ( no electicity, water or sewer). In exchange we the campers make a good faith effort to buy some of their product. Here it was several pounds of ground beef.
Our next stop was Chama, NM which is just across the border from Colorado. Before getting to Chama you go thru Antinito, CO; near there is the oldest church in Colorado - Our Lady of Gaudalupe Then finally we get to Las Mesitas cemetery and chapel. The chapel caught fire years ago but only destroyed the wooden roof.
Just a short video of the spin I saw today at High Plains Raceway. I think he chose the wrong time to pass me - passing on angle such as this is not good. He was fine - I talked to him later. We’ve all done this kind of thing and he won’t do that again!
New instagram site you must see. Tourist + Moron = Touron. These are people that think the rules of behavior around wild animals apply to the other folks but not to them .
Exploration of Flight which is part of Wings over the Rockies foundation had a special fly in - with all sorts of weird planes. Was a nice day to be out at Centennial Airport.
The first three photos are from Wheeler, KS - down K25 going south from St. Francis. It’s a small cemetery with some interesting things to see. Next photo is downtown Akron - If you have grain elevators in your downtown then you are by definition RURAL. Finally is a shelf cloud seen coming into Atwood, KS one morning to work. Scary but interesting site
While you may think this is a law firm it is the towns I passed thru to get to work this week. All out on the eastern plains of Colorado. New Definition: if your grain elevators are part of you downtown then you are RURAL
Easter Sunday finds me traveling for work to Kansas. I frequently travel on Highway 36. which takes me thru Cope, Colorado. This small village has seen better days but for things to photograph it can’t be beat.
